The district, away from shops or bars (here are forbidden) is well knows for its well preserved aristocratical houses with high ceilings, facing South and getting astonishing views of the port and all the Aegean

The house is easy to reach, few stairs and then the path is flat till the main door

It has two floors of about 33 m2

Upstairs you will find the living room (high ceilings of more than 3 meters, traditional), the kitchen, a room that can be a bedroom or an office and the balcony with the most amazing views (see pictures: in front, the islet Bous and Sifnos island; pictures taken at sunset from the balcony)

Downstairs you will the bedroom with the two traditional arches from 1900 and the bathroom that has been fully renewed only two years ago (pipes included)

There’s another door in this lower floor and it has to be said that this bedroom is very fresh so in the summer time there’s no need of air conditioning

Actually the whole house is fresh because of the vernacular architecture: the thick stone walls and the traditional ceilings (upstairs, downstairs and bathroom) keep the house fresh in the summer

At the same time because of its location the house has two extra good points: very little humidity since it has so many hours of direct sun and also it is never exposed to the crazy winds that sometimes hit the upper part of the Chora (the house is protected by the hill)

Its location also gives another warranty: houses are all finished all arround this one so you will never have the risk of someone building in front

The house has also a big space for storage which is located of top of the ceiling of the kitchen

This space could also become a “patari” with two extra beds

The house is perfect for 4 people and I could leave the basic furniture and kitchen gear (fridge, stoves…) so you could just enter and start living there.
